It is also meant to provide an opportunity for members to know their friends better. Selections rotate among the academy’s members from month to month. Only 12 students earn “Student of the Month” accolades each calendar year, with an individual honored each month. Students may be selected for this prestigious honor only once in their careers at Power Sport Taekwondo Martial Arts Academy.

Reasons for taking up taekwondo: Wanted to be active when I was young due to obesity. Grew interest in it as it disciplined me.

Favorite food: Anything to do with CHICKEN!

Reasons: I feel most attached to him because I train under him quite often and he has helped me a lot not only in taekwondo but also out of it.
Ambition: Chemical engineer
Things I like to do the most: Eat, make people laugh, go on adventures to overcome my fear (heights)

What I hate most: Cheaters and ungrateful people
Aneta Selvaraj was tabbed by Power Sport Taekwondo Academy as the ‘Student of the Month’ for August 2013. Disciplined, humble, respectful and friendly, Aneta had dedicated herself to taekwondo for more than a decade now. Her passion for the art can be seen from her total commitment and active participation in most events. A former MSSS (Selangor) and 4 times Power Sport Taekwondo champion, Aneta is also known for her many accomplishments in tennis. In September, she would be leaving for US to further her studies. As much we would like and rejoice with her to see her setting out to achieve her ambition, we would miss her dearly…all the best to you Aneta, Bon voyage! See you again soon.

Izzan Abdul Malek was selected by Power Sport Taekwondo Academy as the ‘Student of the Month’ for July 2013. Quiet and intelligent, Izzan is also friendly and well mannered. He was formerly training under another instructor. It’s a joy to have him come onboard to join our group because Izzan is disciplined, humble, responsible, and obedient…all that we ever wanted in our students.

Power Sport Taekwondo Academy named Wong Chian Huey as the ‘Student of the Month’ for June 2013. Chian Huey started her taekwondo when she was still in kindergarten, which means to say that she had learned taekwondo under us for more than a decade now. Respectful, loyal, discipline and easy to get along, Wong Chian Huey is also a very responsible and capable gal. She is currently a President both in her school Choir and Japanese club. When you give her a job to do, you would be able to sleep well because you know the job would be done. Together with her good attitude in life, Chian Huey would be an asset to her future employer and is a joy to work with. Currently she still comes for her training every Sunday in Convent School Klang. _DSC8205

Loo Yen Lin was tabbed by Power Sport Taekwondo Academy as the ‘Student of the Month’ for May 2013. Quiet and reserved, a lass with not many words, Loo Yen Lin is cool as a cucumber. Behind her cool exterior, is a formidable fighting machine, and Yen Lin can sure put her would-be assailants to flight easily. The medals she holds in her hands is a testimony to her prowess as a martial artist. A two-time Power Sport Taekwondo Champion, Yen Lin had everything we wanted in a model student – intelligent, loyal, respectful, committed, humble and a strong desire to excel.

Danial Abdul Rahman was selected by Power Sport Taekwondo Academy as the ‘Student of the Month’ for April 2013. In these times when finding a person of integrity and with good attitude is harder than ever before, Danial Abdul Rahman stands out head and shoulders above them all. He is also responsible, helpful and obedient. I count it a great joy to have the privilege to teach him this art of self-defence for almost 10 years now. Danial’s kind-heartedness and good attitude in life are what endeared him to everyone!

Power Sport Taekwondo Academy named Mandy Tee Mieng as the ‘Student of the Month’ for March 2013. A big-hearted and disciplined gal, Mandy Tee is also loveable and charming in her own ways. Intelligent and bright, she has also shown a keen interest in taekwondo. Her most outstanding characteristic is her kindness and respect towards the elderly.
