Each month, Power Sport Taekwondo Martial Arts Academy honors a student from among its ranks for good attitude, discipline and zeal in taekwondo. It is also meant to provide an opportunity for members to know their friends better. Selections rotate among the academy’s members from month to month. Only 12 students earn “Student of the Month” accolades each calendar year, with an individual honored each month. Students may be selected for this prestigious honor only once in their careers at Power Sport Taekwondo Martial Arts Academy.

Other than TKD, Hooi Er also actively participating in school activities.   She won many awards.   In story telling (English, Chinese and Bahasa), coloring, poems and mathematic competition.   Her school teacher commented that she communicating well with people.   Analyzing and resolve issue via discussion.  Self discipline and responsible.   A role model for others.

Achievement: First Prize Winner in Poetry Writing Competition 2022, Johan Penulisan Cerpen dan Puisi 2021, published a poem in the college magazine 2023.

Reasons for taking up taekwondo: Taekwondo does not only teaches self defense or physical fitness but also teaches discipline and value of respect. It helps every individual to build up self esteem and confidence to develop a healthy and stronger mind. Most importantly, taekwondo has always taught me to never give up despite facing multiple falls but to get up and accept the challenge.

Favorite food: Home-made food.
Favorite teacher: Master Leong, Mrs Leong, Master Xavier, Master Yap and Teacher Sharanie
